Forthcoming Village Events

Jump to: Ongoing Events; Past Events

Listed below are the upcoming planned events at the Village Hall and Village Residents.

Bookings

Due to the popularity of events, early booking is required to avoid disappointment. Bookings are made with Jane Guy

When we are putting on catered events, we normally need to know the numbers we are catering for by the middle of the week preceding the event; this 'fixes' how many people are able to attend. Recently we have had to disappoint people who have left it late in trying to book.

Further, If you have made a booking for an event but find subsequently that you are unable to attend, please telephone Jane as soon as you can to cancel your booking - do not rely on using email.

Payment required in advance

For events noted as 'payment required in advance', you can make your payments to:

Jane: Warren Farm, WL

Jennifer/Philip: 7 Lower Pond Street

Roberta/Martin: Midsummer House, DE

Susanne/Bob: Smallbrooks

If you have made a booking, do not attend, and have not cancelled, we cannot provide a refund as expense will have been incurred that we otherwise cannot recover.

Date Event
2012

Saturday 12th May

7.00pm AGM

7.45pm Wine Tasting

What better way to get you along to the AGM! Last year's wine tasting event was a HUGE success, so we are running another in conjunction with the Village Hall Annual General Meeting. The AGM will start PROMPTLY at 7.00pm followed by the Wine Tasting event at 7.45pm.

The theme will be 'celebration drinks' in honour and preparation for the Jubilee. Hopefully this will give you some ideas for stocking the cupboard for the long Jubilee weekend. Food will be served during the course of the evening.

Tickets for the Wine Tasting are £18 per head and must be booked in advance. Details above.

Jubilee Weekend Monday 4th June Duddenhoe End will celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on the afternoon of Monday June 4th with a Village Party at the Hall, starting at 3pm.

Sponsored by the Parish Council, there will be sparkling Loyal Toast at 4pm. Pease bring along some cakes, sandwiches or other edibles to add to the communal table for afternoon tea.

A fancy dress competition with prizes will be held for all children, 13 and under, with the theme of 'Jubi-lympics'
