Duddenhoe End Village Hall News
As a village that no longer has a shop or a pub, Duddenhoe End Village Hall is the heart of our community and one of the few places where we can come together to meet..The village hall committee will be re-doubling efforts over the coming months to provide a range of social activities which we hope will provide the opportunity for this to happen. We hope that you will all support us. 'Newcomers' are especially welcome.
If you would like to be kept informed of social events and activities by email, please send your email address to Martin

Duddenhoe End Village Hall 'Happy Helpers'
2 June 2011
We are aware that there are quite a few of you
who have said that your are happy to help organise events, but don't want to
be on the DEVH committee.
Accordingly, we would like to build up a register of 'Happy Helpers' whom we call upon to provide much need assistance with putting on some of our main events; the Midsummer Games is a good example. If you would like to register as a Happy Helper then please contact Jane.
Updated Web Site - The Village 'Shop'
5 November 2010
The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that we have a new 'Main Menu' option on the left - 'Village Shop'.
This is intended to provide a proverbial (and virtual) Corner Shop Window in which you can place a 'PostCard' on which you can advertise some thing to sell, or indeed indicate there is something you are looking to buy.
There is a distinction between 'commercial' and non-commercial Postcards; for the former there is a modest charge (proceeds to the Village Hall funds!) whereas for the latter the facility is provided free.
As you'll see, we have a link in our initial shop window to Brian Viney's 'BV Tools' web site, and Brian has said that 20% of profits made from any sales which go through this link will be donated jointly to the Village Hall and the Hamlet Church Roof repair fund. This is a fantastic gesture by Brian, so we hope you will support the venture by making your purchases of tools, gardening equipment and other such DIY implements through this link.
Similarly, we hope other businesses in the area will submit their 'Postcards' so we can all support local enterprise whist at the same time see a modest revenue generated for the benefit of YOUR Village Hall.
So, we need your Postcards in the Shop Window! if you have something to sell, a service to offer, or if there is something you are looking for, then 'send' in the details! Details on the 'Village Shop' page.
Update - Jan 2011
Brian reports that he has had the results of the last quarter's sales made through the 'Corner Shop Window'. Although the shop was active for only about half of the reporting period, it has generated just under £50 of profit to be distributed between the Village Hall and the Hamlet Church Roof repair fund.
Thank you to all who have made a purchase in this way. And of course, to everyone who needs to make a home/garden 'DIY' purchase (spring is just around the corner!) - please check the BV Tools ad in the Corner Shop to see if you can get what you want at a good price.
